David Davidovitj Burljuk var en ukrainsk-rysk-amerikansk konstnär och poet. Han var en av grundarna av den ryska futurismen.

Han formulerade tillsammans med bland andra Vladimir Majakovskij och Velimir Chlebnikov det futuristiska manifestet En örfil mot den offentliga smaken 1912. Burljuk var även den förste att uppmärksamma Majakovskijs poetiska förmågor.

År 1925 var Burliuk en av grundarna av the Association of Revolutionary Masters of Ukraine (ARMU) med medlemmarna Alexander Bogomazov, Vasiliy Yermilov, Vadym Meller, Alexander Khvostenko- Khvostov och Palmov Victor. År 1927 deltog han i en utställning av de senaste konstnärliga trenderna i Ryska museet i Leningrad (St Petersburg), tillsammans med Kazimir Malevitj, Aleksandr Shevchenko och Vladimir Tatlin.

David Burljuk var författare till de självbiografiska skisserna Mina förfäder, Fyrtio år: 1890-1930

David Davidovich Burljuk was a Ukrainian-Russian-American artist and poet. He was one of the founders of Russian futurism.

He formulated together with others including Vladimir Mayakovsky and Velimir Khlebnikov the futurist manifesto A slap on the public taste, 1912. Burljuk was also the first to draw attention to Mayakovsky's poetic abilities .

In 1925 Burliuk was a co-founder of the Association of Revolutionary Masters of Ukraine (ARMU) with the members Alexander BogomazovVasiliy YermilovVadym MellerAlexander Khvostenko-Khvostov, and Palmov Victor. In 1927 he participated in an exhibition of the Latest Artistic Trends in the Russian Museum in Leningrad (St. Petersburg), together with Kazimir MalevichAleksandr Shevchenko, and Vladimir Tatlin.

David Burliuk was author of the autobiographical sketches My Ancestors, Forty Years: 1890–1930.
